Bicheno bus and coach stop

Tassielink bus stop

Buses stop outside the information centre on Foster Street in Bicheno, with Tassielink operating services to Hobart and Launceston with stops at other destinations in Tasmania’s east coast region.

The Bicheno bus and coach stop is centrally located in the heart of Bicheno’s small town centre so there is a good selection of places to eat and drink nearby.

Tassielink services connect passengers to several key destinations in Tasmania. The main routes serving Bicheno include Hobart to the south and Launceston to the north, each accessible with a direct or single-transfer journey. In addition to Hobart and Launceston, buses also stop in nearby towns like Coles Bay and Swansea, providing easy access to other coastal and rural areas. These routes are particularly useful for tourists, who can reach popular locations along Tasmania’s eastern coastline, including Freycinet National Park, without the need for a car.

Buses from Hobart depart from the Hobart City Interchange (near the town hall on Elizabeth Street) and buses from Launceston depart from the stop on Charles Street (near William Street).

It’s important to note; however, that there are only one or two buses a day in each direction. Buses to Hobart are generally a direct service but you’ll usually need to change buses in St Marys if you’re heading north to Launceston.
